INRA at the 2018 International Agricultural Show

On the stand

For more than 50 years, the collections held by INRA and its partners have covered a large proportion of the diversity of cultivated and wild-type plant species, animals and micro-organisms. They constitute a major asset that can provide the scientific resources necessary to study living beings, create new varieties adapted to our needs, breed farmed livestock, and improve the ferments used in the processing of foods or for green chemistry (bioeconomy).
The research scientists who will be available to meet the public and professionals will be presenting their work and the wealth of this genetic heritage. Their triple mission is to conserve, characterise and valorise genetic diversity.
A recruitment hub will be presenting different opportunities to join INRA.
Éditions Quae will also be on the stand, with a selection of its publications.

The symposium

A scientific symposium on "The diversity of agricultures" will be organised in the afternoon on Tuesday 27 February.

Meet the professionals

Some ten presentations on the INRA stand will describe collaborations between the Institute, its socioeconomic partners and civilian society: a detailed programme will be issued nearer the time.
