INRA and Uruguay's national institute for agricultural research (INIA) sign a framework agreement

On the occasion of the official visit to France of the President of Uruguay, Tabaré VÁZQUEZ, a cooperation framework agreement was signed on 28 October 2015 between INRA and INIA during a ceremony held at the Élysée.

The 5-year agreement encourages training in and for research, international mobility and joint research and innovation projects.

The topics include animal genetics (in particular, sheep and cattle), animal health and how to control the environmental impact of livestock stystems. The first meeting on these topics, followed by a study mission to Uruguay, are planned in order to define the specific actions which need to be set up as part of this agreement.
