INRA provides scientific expertise to support public decision-making in the fields of food and nutrition, agriculture and environment.

INRA's mission is to bring together relevant knowledge to answer questions concerning public policy. The Institute produces expert reports, foresight studies and advanced studies which contribute to elaborating public policies, provide arguments for social debates and participates in formulating new research questions. Each subject dealt with leads to a report which is then debated during a symposium open to the public.
