On Monday 18 July, during a short speech preceding the minute of silence held at Paris Head Office in memory of the victims of the Nice attack, François Houllier, President of INRA, expressed the Institute’s solidarity and pledged that the Institute would pursue its activities. He said that he had “received messages of support from colleagues abroad, including those from countries which had also been affected by terrorist attacks themselves: these messages are precious as international solidarity is one of the values on which we can base our resistance to such aggressions”.
