In pursuit of prions

The "Prion Task Force" has received the INRA Science with an Impact Award for 2018. Created 20 years ago, the task force carries out research on transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs), of which the best-known example is mad cow disease. Its work has helped improve food security, protect human health, and save farms and livestock industries from the menace of TSEs.
