MIRRI (Microbial Resource Research Infrastructure), launched in Braunchweig (Germany) from 27-30 November 2012, is a distributed research infrastructure designed to improve access to high-quality microorganisms, their derivatives and associated data, for the benefit of research and development in academic and industrial circles.

Fish farming is booming, with worldwide aquaculture output growing faster than any other agricultural sector. To guarantee its sustainability and competitiveness, alternative ingredients must replace fish oils and fishmeal in farmed fish feed.
