The TomGEM project to breed tomato varieties adapted to climate change

Launched in March 2016, the TomGEM project (A holistic multi-actor approach towards the design of new tomato varieties and management practices to improve yield and quality in the face of climate change) aims to improve the yields and quality of tomato varieties in the context of climate change. Coordinated by the INRA-ENSAT Joint Research Unit for Fruit Genomics and Biotechnology in Toulouse, and supported by the TULIP LabEx, 18 partners (from Europe, Argentina and Taiwan) are involved in this international consortium.

2016 Tetrapartite meeting held at INRA Montpellier from 2 to 4 May. It brings together INRA and its British (BBSRC: Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council), Canadian (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Federal Ministry) and American counterparts (Agricultural Research Service of the US Department of Agriculture – USDA-ARS). © INRA, HOLLANDER Edwina

International perspectives for agricultural research: a tetrapartite meeting

Each year, INRA meets its partner organisations from Canada, the United States and Great Britain for a tetrapartite meeting. The objectives of this meeting are to discuss the common major scientific challenges of the four organizations and identify areas of scientific collaboration. The 2016 tetrapartite meeting is hosted from 2 to 4 May at the INRA Research Centre in Montpellier.
