Japan: a new mobility programme focused on emerging scientific topics, and a new LIA on fruit biology in the context of climate change

During the visit by the French President to Japan on 26 and 27 June 2019, and in the presence of Frédérique Vidal, Minister for Higher Education, Research and Innovation, INRA finalised important agreements with two of its Japanese partners; one with the Japanese National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO) and the other with the University of Tsukuba, as well as participating in preparations for the next Franco-Japanese commission on research which is scheduled in France during the last quarter of 2019.

INRA in India: a new LIA reinforces research collaboration with BAIF for rural development, environment and food security

To foster INRA’s collaboration in India on global issues such as sustainable development, environmental protection and food security, Girish Sohani, President of BAIF Development Research Foundation, India’s largest NGO in the field of agriculture and long-standing partner of INRA, visited INRA on 21 and 22 March and met Philippe Mauguin, President of INRA.

Crop protection, food process engineering: INRA and its partners sign agreement for two new international laboratories in China

In Beijing, in the presence of the French Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Frédérique VIDAL, INRA, represented by Ségolène HALLEY des FONTAINES, Head of International Affairs, welcomes the creation of two new French-Chinese international associated laboratories (LIA).

Inauguration of the International Associated Laboratory in Nancy

Following the French-Chinese scientific symposium on Urban Agronomy from 30 November to 2 December 2015 in Nancy, a signing ceremony was held on Wednesday 2 December at the President’s office of the University of Lorraine. INRA, the University of Lorraine (UL) and Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) have signed an agreement to establish up an International Associated Laboratory (LIA) to develop research on the remediation of contaminated soils and the ecosystem services that they can provide.
