The fascinating story of a team driving a revolution in livestock farming: genomic selection. The 2016 Science with an Impact Award given to the Cattle Genetics and Genomics team at INRA Jouy-en-Josas.
A brilliant researcher sheds light on key cellular mechanisms using a plant model. The 2016 winner of the Scientific Breakthrough Award is Raphaël Mercier, who is a research director in the Meiosis and Recombination group at the Jean-Pierre Bourgin Institute, which is part of the INRA center of Versailles-Grignon.
