To meet the expected 60% raise in demand for wheat by 2050, coordination of research and significant investments are needed to increase wheat sustainable production globally. The Wheat Initiative presented today its Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) to the G20 Agricultural Chief Scientists gathered in Turkey.

Goats are the model species used in research on reproductive biology and animal agroecology carried out by CABRAA. The agreement to create this international associated laboratory, developed between INRA and a department at the Antonio Narro Autonomous Agrarian University (Mexico), was signed on 9 July 2015 just a few days before the Mexican president’s visit to Paris.

The report is divided into three volumes dedicated respectively to the Institute, its key scientific achievements and the staff and financial resources of INRA. Each section testifies to the Institute’s wide range of activities, output and impacts.

On 26 June 2015, the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences (ISVV) in Bordeaux, France (operated in part by INRA), the Australian Wine Research Institute in Adelaide, Australia and the Hochschule Geisenheim University in Geisenheim, Germany signed a new agreement to step up cooperation on research, higher education and technology transfers in grape and wine sciences.
This four-day international conference was held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 7 to 10 July 2015. It will be the largest forum for the scientific community ahead of the COP21 of the UNFCCC in November 2015.
