Expo Milano 2015, the universal exposition being held in Milan, Italy, will run from May 1 to October 31, 2015. The French pavilion, made entirely of wood from the Jura region of France, has chosen the slogan “producing and supplying food in a different way,” which recognizes the research and innovations emerging from the field of agroecology. Sabrina Gaba, a young research scientist from Dijon’s Joint Research Unit for Agroecology, participated in a round-table discussion at the Elysée on March 18. It is on this day that the French pavilion was officially inaugurated.

The 3rd global science conference on climate-smart agriculture took place in Montpellier from 16 to 18 March 2015. The conference provided an opportunity to draw up an agenda for future research, inform policy-makers and present ideas for future courses of action. On 20 February 2015, just before the Salon international de l'Agriculture (SIA) in Paris, and a few months ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) to be held here in December, the farming world outlined its proposals for solutions to deal with climate change. This forum was organised by the National Exhibition and Agricultural Fair Centre (CENECA).

Compiled at the initiative of INRA, with CNRS, INSERM and the Conference of University Presidents (CPU), the National Charter for Ethics in Research Activities was signed by seven research institutions during a seminar held on 29 January 2015 on the Jussieu university campus. Olivier Le Gall, Deputy Director General for Scientific Affairs, represented INRA.
